The Story

Built in the 1980s and poorly remodeled over the years, this home sits against a nature reserve with sweeping forest views from the back of the house. The original form still held great potential, and the homeowners wanted to modernize the interior while introducing vibrant, expressive color that felt connected to the landscape.

Vaulting the ceilings in the entry and office opened the home up immediately, creating a natural flow from the front door into the main living space and the views beyond. Throughout the interior, greens and earthy tones tie the rooms to the forest outside. The kitchen was fully remodeled with green cabinetry, a custom-paneled refrigerator, and custom-designed routed cabinet pulls. A bold red accent wall creates contrast with the kitchen and ties into the maroon sofa in the living room, weaving a cohesive color story through the main living area.

The fireplace was completely reimagined with a recessed television and custom built-ins that add both function and visual balance. On the exterior, metal roof accents, new garage doors, and cultured stonework give the home a fresh identity, while double front doors with rain glass and natural wood provide a warm, modern welcome.
