The Story

The homeowners wanted to brighten their kitchen and strengthen its connection to the dining room—all while preserving the charm of their older bungalow. A widened entry with softly curved edges now echoes the home’s original archways, while airy blues in the backsplash and wallcoverings bring light and continuity to both rooms. Health-conscious material choices, including zero-VOC paints and ceramic tile, were central to the design.

Upstairs, a dated bathroom was reimagined for a young family. The new design maximizes storage and functionality while bold tile selections add character and a sense of permanence—a space that feels timeless yet unmistakably original.
