The Story

Nestled in a charming 1920s condominium in Northeast Portland, this renovation was guided by the home’s original character and the homeowner’s vision of a romantic, storybook-inspired retreat. Soft colors, timeless details, and a love of all things pink informed a design that feels whimsical, welcoming, and deeply personal.

One of the project’s primary goals was bringing laundry into the home, eliminating the need to use the building’s shared basement facilities. By expanding the kitchen footprint and incorporating a compact stacked washer and dryer behind custom cabinetry, we were able to add this everyday convenience while maintaining the clean, uninterrupted lines of the kitchen.

The bathroom was reimagined with equal intention. Replacing the outdated tub with a spacious walk-in shower and integrated bench created a more accessible environment that supports the homeowner’s mobility while providing a calm, spa-like experience. Throughout the home, every design decision balanced beauty with purpose.
